The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
The ELMHS Forensic Aftercare Clinic in the CFS Department is seeking a motivated, team-oriented Registered Nurse to provide direction and assistance to direct care nurses in the development of individualized patient treatment plans that address physician medical diagnosis and patients identified needs in relation to long term care goals. Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans in meeting established care goals; revises the plan as needed to reflect changing needs, issues and goals. Audits assigned area treatment plans for competency and compliance according to ELMHS treatment plan policy, assist assigned nurses with any deficits via education and when needed.Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:Two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelor's degree in nursing plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A master's degree in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the treatment plan process according to defined standards; assists with writing the treatment plans when assigned by the Nurse Manager.
- Assist with patient long-term and short-term treatment plans on assigned units.
- Initiates or responds to hospital codes and demonstrates the ability to provide nursing assistance appropriate to code situations.
- Participate in education trainings that are mandatory for accreditation and licensure of the facility.

Compensation:
- This position has an SER of $36.56 an hour or $2924.80 bi-weekly
- This position is eligible for the following premium pays (Per Hour Physically Worked):
- Facility Longevity – Starting at $2.00
- Recruitment/Retention - $10.00
- Recruitment/Retention - $2.00
