You will serve as an Environmental Health Technician. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 night per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. Salary: GS-8 (Step 1) $56,164 - (Step 10) $73,010 GS-8 (Step 1) $62,033 - (Step 10) $80,648 First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
- Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Perform data collection and analysis of water and wastewater sampling Conduct laboratory operations Maintain laboratory functions Prepare data results for inclusion in bacteriological and special reports for regulatory agencies and utilities personnel Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
