Are you passionate about leveraging technology to improve healthcare? As an Informaticist (Registered Nurse), you will play a vital role in advancing the quality, safety, and effectiveness of patient care through the innovative use of health information systems and data analytics. You will collaborate with clinicians, IT specialists, and administrative staff to optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems, analyze clinical data, and support evidence-based decision-making.

  • NWI has a total of 3 vacancies; 1 Informaticist vacancy in each of the below services: Inpatient / ED Surgical/ Procedural Mental Health The Informaticist (Registered Nurse) duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Exercises leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility and network. Assists in directing the provision of education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization. Practice includes directing other providers. Preferred Experience: Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills Strong computer skills in the operation and use of an electronic health record. Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, TEAMs, Excel and Powerpoint Experience in the use of AI modalities VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, administrative hours.
