The Minneapolis VA Health Care System Department of Specialty Care is seeking an Internal Medicine ABIM board-certified/board-eligible physician with experience and demonstrated excellence in Internal Medicine resident and medical student teaching for a nighttime Academic Hospitalist position.

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) is seeking a Full-Time, Temporary (13 months)- (this will be discussed during Interview outlining the temp position), Physician (Hospitalist) to join the Specialty Care Service Line at the MVAMC in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Day shift duties include but are not limited to: Independently admitting and managing patients on medical wards and step-down units; Co-managing post-operative surgical, rehabilitation, and psychiatric patients; participating in emergency responses (therefore must be AHA ACLS and BLS certified); Performing triage of outside admissions; and supervising medical residents and other health professions trainees. Qualified candidates will have an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
