The position provides essential clerical, receptionist, and patient care support within the Optometry Department at the Chinle Service Unit in Chinle, Arizona. The incumbent assists with patient care and treatment activities, provides administrative and front-desk support, and helps ensure the efficient operation of the department. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
- Assist with patient flow by coordinating arrivals, appointments, and communication between patients and clinical staff. Maintain confidentiality and safeguard protected health information in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. Serve as the primary receptionist and front-desk contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic, medical, and administrative information. Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, family members, healthcare providers, and staff.
