• Bend is a city in Central Oregon and the county seat of Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is located to the east of the Cascade Range, on the Deschutes River. The site became known by pioneers as a fordable crossing point of the river, where it was ran through a bend. An 1870s ranch popularized the name "Farewell Bend", with the post office later distinguishing the area as Bend. It was incorporated as a city in 1905, starting off as a logging town. In 1910, Mirror Pond was created as a dammed river reservoir to provide energy. In 1950, the two major logging companies were consolidated due to depleted timber, causing an economic drop. The CPM will be responsible with the Nurse Manager for the daily operations of the assigned practice group. The incumbent will be the first-line supervisor for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants within that practice group. Each CPM will be a member of the Primary Care Clinical Board. As a member of the Clinical Board the CPM will be responsible for assigned clinical leadership duties. Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for working with the Primary Care Division and other Divisions within the Medical Center to achieve quality care standards and productivity targets. Leads process improvement activities and work to achieve patient satisfaction goals, access to care standards, and clinical performance targets. Assures that the policies, practices, and services within that group practice are consistent with the mission and vision of the Primary Care Division, the VA Portland Health Care System, the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20 - VA Northwest Health Network, and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Central Office. Works with other divisions within the medical center to achieve compliance with internal and external regulatory and accreditation standards, such as Joint Commission and OSHA. Responsible for providing primary care services to a defined panel of patients. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 07:30-4:00pst, 8:00-4:30pst
