About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

• Receive patient specimens of blood, urine, stool, microbiological and viral cultures, tissue, body fluids and cytological specimens.
• Ensures proper documentation of patient identification and proper specimen identification in accordance with regulations.
• Perform donor screening, health history assessments, and focused physical examinations of potential blood donors.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot all blood bank, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology analyzers, in addition to laboratory centrifuges.
• Conduct necessary quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
