Maintenance Mechanic (Seasonal)

This position serves as a Maintenance Mechanic with the Gateway National Recreation Area. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Seasonal Staffing Office-Gateway National Recreation Area is October - March, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: October 2026

• Major Duties: Performs routine and corrective maintenance of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, building components, and equipment. Performs work using simple and complex measures and hand tools on such tasks as painting, electrical, plumbing, etc. Performs painting projects using appropriate tools and techniques. Performs plumbing repairs such as, faucet replacement, drain cleaning/repair. Performs electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures and outlets.
