About the Position: This position is located in an in-patient setting at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. This is for an Outpatient Environment This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

• Performs all operations associated with inpatient/outpatient pharmacy to include, evaluation of new prescriptions, proper strength and dosing, and appropriate patient instructions and medication quantity for course of therapy.
• Regularly communicates with providers on any concerns regarding a prescription (allergy, cross-sensitivity, contraindications, dosing, etc.).
• Packages and labels products and insures that they are properly handled, stored, and accounted for.
• Supervises and directs the workflow of Pharmacy Technicians
• Provides monthly or as needed reports to Chief, Department of Pharmacy, on waiting times, workload, and staffing needs.
