This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As the lead Engineering Technician at Chief Joseph Dam, you will manage CADD and BIM programs, support complex mechanical and electrical design projects, and serve as the As-Built Records Coordinator.

• Serve as the technical specialist and program manager for Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems.
• Plan and prepare original layouts, computations, and complex drawings for mechanical and electrical features of hydroelectric power plant projects.
• Provide training and technical support to engineers and staff to ensure compliance with emerging CADD standards and automated engineering tools.
• Implement and maintain engineering content management systems and complex databases to support daily project planning and documentation.
• Review contract submittals for CADD standard compliance and prepare detailed bills of material and quantity estimates for project designs.
