Responsibilities:

Processes and finalizes all County payrolls within the County payroll system and serves as the primary resource for identifying and resolving payroll issues and errors. Enters and manages payroll-related data in relevant systems including changes, personnel actions, and other secure payroll functions. Serves as frontline support for the County's timekeeping system, employee self-service portal, and general payroll-related questions and requests.


Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited


Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime and work outside standard hours may be required.


Location: Columbia, Missouri


Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, human resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a clear criminal history.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience processing complex payrolls for multiple offices. Experience in working in a public entity or government setting. Experience with ERP/HRIS, payroll, or timekeeping systems.


Starting Hourly Range$24.40 - $25.95 per hour
