Patricia Neal in Knoxville and Encompass Health in Cleveland, outside Chattanooga, have been hiring nurses, therapists, and technicians in numbers, and the VA medical centers in Nashville, Murfreesboro, Memphis, and Johnson City add the federal side. Nashville itself has HCA Healthcare, Vanderbilt, and the state government, Arnold Air Force Base posts civilian engineers for the test wing, and Fort Campbell straddles the Kentucky line. Healthcare takes most of the page, HR a distant second. Every employer listed has said as much on the record: they hire inclusively.
