Bureau of Land Management jobs

The BLM was created in 1946, when President Truman merged the General Land Office, itself founded in 1812 to support homesteading and westward migration, with the U.S. Grazing Service. It now manages 245 million acres of public land, which it puts at one in every ten acres in the country, plus 700 million acres of mineral estate underneath. Twelve main regional offices do that work, with headquarters split between Grand Junction, Colorado, and Washington, DC.
