Kingman runs its own bus system. KART's four fixed routes cover roughly 190,000 miles a year and carry 7,000 to 10,000 passenger trips a month, paid for partly through the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5311 rural program. This Arizona city also operates the Kingman Municipal Airport, a municipal court, an Office of Tourism, and a 911 dispatch center inside the fire department. These offices are spread across town: City Hall is at 310 North Fourth Street, transit at 3700 East Andy Devine Avenue.
Transit drivers, airport staff, dispatchers, and court clerks work here, and so does the permitting side: Development Services covers permits and inspections, planning and zoning, and neighborhood services. Engineering, utility billing, and street operations round out the roster.
