Commander, Navy Installations Command careers

Somebody has to run the Navy's bases, and that somebody is Commander, Navy Installations Command, established on October 1, 2003 to unify the Navy's installation programs, policies, and funding under one oversight. CNIC is responsible for operations, maintenance, and quality of life programs across 10 regions, 71 installations, and 123 Naval Operations Support Centers, the shore side of preparing every ship, submarine, and aircraft for deployment. Working for CNIC generally means working on a base, in the daily operations and support that keep an installation and the people on it running.
