Loudoun County's own fact sheet reads like a growth chart: founded in 1757 with Leesburg as its seat ever since, 520 square miles of Virginia, and a population the county put at 446,530 in its 2024 estimate. The government behind those numbers runs ten library branches and nine community centers alongside the usual county offices, in a place whose civilian labor force stood at 222,649 in 2021. Set the founding date beside the population figure and you have the short version: a 1757 courthouse seat now serving nearly half a million people.
