MiraCosta College careers

MiraCosta College started in 1934 as Oceanside-Carlsbad Junior College, took its current name, Spanish for behold the coast, in the mid-1960s, and grew into four locations: the Oceanside campus, the San Elijo campus in Cardiff, a community learning center in Oceanside, and a technology career institute in Carlsbad. The district expanded in 1976 to take in the San Dieguito area, so it now covers the coastal stretch of North San Diego County. A public college district is a distinct kind of employer: faculty, health services, and instructional support hiring on academic calendars.
