Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus careers

Piedmont and Encompass Health opened Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus together in September 2023, a joint venture built as a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital on Veterans Parkway in Columbus, Georgia. Patients arrive recovering from strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions, and the model is intensive: physical, occupational, and speech therapies backed by 24-hour nursing, in a building of all private rooms with a large therapy gym. For Encompass it was hospital number 159 nationwide and the sixth in Georgia, so the new site opened with a long operating history behind it.
