Vituity is a partnership owned entirely by its physicians, run as what it calls a democratic partnership, with no outside investors involved anywhere in the structure. A group of emergency medicine physicians founded the practice more than fifty years ago, and it remains 100 percent physician owned today. The pitch it makes to its own clinicians follows directly from that: patient-first decisions, with the support and autonomy to make them, and no pressure or influence from external investors. The company describes the goal as care delivered directly to patients when, where, and how they need it, with no conflict of interest in the way.

More than 9,000 Vituity clinicians now care for more than 14.5 million patients at over 900 practice locations. The specialty list runs well past emergency medicine: hospital medicine, anesthesiology, critical care, psychiatry, neurology, primary care, urgent care, and telehealth all operate under the same partnership. There's also a small family of related brands, including Jovive patient clinics, Inflect Health, the MOOV wellness studios, and the Vituity Cares charitable foundation, whose community programs center on healthcare inequalities and local service projects staffed by its own clinicians and employees.
