This position will be at the Stony Child Development Center, West Point, New York. Age range for this location would be children aged 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. - Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years in Child and Youth Services (CYS) programs.
- Actively supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth during daily routines, indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings, and special events.
- Assists in implementing planned, developmentally appropriate activities, schedules, and routines for children/youth using prepared curriculum, activity plans, and materials which includes group and individual activities.
- Helps arrange for or serve appropriate snacks or meals.
- Identifies and responds to emergency situations including evacuations, child/youth illness, and physical and emotional needs.
