This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located in Schofield Barracks, Hawai'i. Position works under direct supervision of and reports directly to the Soldier Readiness Unit's (SRU) battalion surgeon in the US Army Medical Command.

  • Serve as Supervisory Case Manager with independent problem-solving skills to manage care for the Army’s most complex wounded and ill Armed Forces Service Members to achieve the optimal recovery and transition.
  • Supervise military and civilian Nurse Case Managers and other supporting staff.
  • Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of the section member.
  • Improve production or increase the quality of work produced.
  • Drive strategies to resolve complex healthcare challenges for Soldiers in Transition, facilitating a seamless return to duty or transition to medical separation.
