About the Position: This position is performed within the Kendrick Memorial Blood Services and the Department of Pathology at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center within an administrative office space. Work hours are typically day shift Monday - Friday. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation · Recruitment or Relocation incentive may be authorized. · Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. · Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

  • Evaluatesand monitors the quality of blood services through review of reports, quality control records, QA records, on-site inspections, and regularly scheduled QA meetings with Blood Services personnel.
  • Reviews and approves/rejects all SOPs within Blood Services to ensure they meet regulatory standards.
  • Plans and coordinates preventive maintenance programs for blood bank equipment, and reviews preventive maintenance records.
  • Verifies all testing and process steps are completed in compliance with FDA guidelines.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and monitors the proficiency testing programs to ensure adequacy of test methods, equipment, processes, and competency of personnel performing proficiency tests.
