The Supervisor of Children’s Mental Health and Mental Health Professionals directs the delivery of Rice County case management services in the children’s mental health unit, and the delivery of outpatient mental health therapy by the mental health professionals. This position works with community providers, organizations, County/Regional/State agencies and staff to support, improve and expand services. The Supervisor is a back-up to other Social Services supervisors as needed. The Supervisor ensures coordination of services among varied providers and promotes growth to meet specialized needs. This position is instrumental in generating revenue and seeking funding to support the Department’s various programs and services.
- Monitors and evaluates the provision of County children’s mental health case management, and outpatient mental health services.
- Supervises and develops staff to ensure that appropriate services are provided to client target populations, according to Federal, State, and County regulations.
- Monitors and analyzes children’s mental health and outpatient mental health budgets in compliance with State, Federal, and County mandates.
- Monitors service contracts and maintain professional relationships with community providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The job requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related human services field, and five years’ experience as a County Mental Health Social Worker or equivalent; or a Master’s degree in Social Work and one-year previous experience or equivalent. Annual certification and/or training is required in Data Security and Privacy and Data Security for County Staff.
Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in social work, and one year of previous experience or equivalent. Bi-lingual in Somali or Spanish.
HOURS: Normal business hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
