This position is located at Fort Riley, KS. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child:25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

  • Serves as a nurse consultant responsible for all health support services. Applies professional knowledge and skill to support the health and well-being of children and youth.
  • Assists in training of staff, providers, volunteers, and/or parents. Coordinates and provides specialized training to staff who support children or youth with complex health needs.
  • Serves as a consultant for the Multi-Disciplinary Team to determine compliance with health-related CDC standards.
  • Works closely with program directors in the implementation of health and fitness programs.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between CYS Services and the installation Community Health Nurse. Communicates with trainers, Special Needs Director, Environmental Health, schools, and physicians to clarify roles in health support/services.
