The Intermittent PACT Float RN works on an irregular, occasional basis without a prearranged, fixed schedule. Intermittent employees are paid for the hours/days worked as operational needs arise.

  • Start your career with the Eastern Colorado VA VA Nurses The PACT Float Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for competent, evidence-based care to primary care patients, and oversight of licensed practical/vocational nurses and nursing assistants, as appropriate to the setting on an as needed basis.. The duties of the position include but are not limited to: Manage assigned panels, utilize registries, and ensure appropriate evaluation and access are provided. Provide health promotion, health education and coaching, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Deliver and improvise holistic, primary care through collaborative strategies with others. Evaluate practice in an ongoing process based on best evidence. Provide peers with informal and formal constructive feedback for improvement. Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals. Contribute professional outpatient nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. Partner with others to effect change and produce optimal outcomes. Support colleagues through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality outpatient nursing care. Share educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers. Participate in activities and strategies to sustain evidence-based practice. Utilize nursing processes such as assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation to improve evidence based and/or data-driven outcomes or identified patient populations and specialized areas within immediate practice setting. Improve Veteran/patient driven care by optimizing the patient experience, satisfaction and/or safety for the immediate practice setting. Other duties as assigned Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Intermittent, irregular work days, generally Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00-4:30 Telework: Not available.
