- If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team as an Accounting Technician in the Budget Section, Administration Division, that is responsible for assisting the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Texas personnel. Typical work assignments will include: Prepares and analyzes detailed and extensive reports on financial activities. Assists in preparing modifications to obligations and subsequent entry to the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) Receives, reviews and processes fund commitments and disbursements for the District. Researches unusual transactions relation to expenses for litigation of complex issues to ensure proper classification. Performs account examinations for transactions requiring unusual adjustments. Verifies input to general ledger for accuracy and compliance to intent of obligations. Processes bills for payment. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
