About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
- Conduct initial assessment of referrals based on clinical care provided and defines clinical requirements for individual patients.
- Document and tracks information required to conduct referral management review and analysis, including patient demographic data, clinical variances, cost avoidance relating to medical procedures, and ancillary services.
- Collaborate with other clinical practice areas (physicians, nurses, dieticians, and administrative personnel) to support managed care principles and practices.
- Advise new providers in the development of referral programs to promote wellness, prevent illness, improve health, promote health education, manage disease, and manage medical cost.
- Perform optimization management and review for medical necessity of specialty care referrals to ensure adequate level of care.
