This position is located at the PHS Indian Hospital, Pine Ridge, SD. The Surgical Technician (ST) is a member of the surgical team and provides assistance to the surgeon and other team members during the surgical procedure. The position participates with the team members in planning and implementing complex procedures under the general supervision of the surgical team A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
- Provide cleaning, packaging and sterilizing services in support of hospital services. Performs various assignments, i.e., decontamination, instrument preparation, equipment maintenance and supply, and storage and issue. Maintains operating room area. Assesses equipment needs and maintains adequate stock of supplies and materials Prepares, organizes and maintains the sterile surgical set-ups.
