This position is located in the Cybersecurity Modernization and Privacy Branch (CMPB). CMPB supports the implementation and continuous monitoring for compliance with IT privacy policies, Federal Information Processing Standards, and privacy requirements for all information technology used in support of the USPTO.
- The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. Come join our team if: You are enthusiastic about spearheading a team of IT Cybersecurity Specialists in a wide variety of duties connected with ensuring the proper development of cybersecurity and privacy projects, programs and services provided to USPTO. You are motivated to champion the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist the team and/or individuals members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution. You are driven to assist the Chief Privacy Officer in the development and implementation of a strategic privacy program plan, with a consistent overall approach to privacy policies and processes, and identification and mitigation of privacy risks. You enjoy elevating performance management efforts by supporting product and/or project performance management (including assessing quality, compliance, etc.), organizational/functional reviews, and ad-hoc assessments required by OCISO senior management to assess performance against established goals and objectives.
