As an Supervisory Legal Administrative Specialist, you will share responsibility for the management and technical direction of a USCIS Asylum Office, including preparation, research, resolution and processing in the office's administration of applications for asylum and other benefits..
- Serves as an expert consultant on all Asylum Division benefits and screenings administered at the Asylum Office.
- Oversees research into and evaluations of pending cases including key system searches across all available USCIS and DHS case management systems.
- Supervises legal administrative specialists in the completion of duties in support of the adjudication of benefits and applicant screenings.
- Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for the completion of work.
- Trains and develops expertise among subordinates and assigns work and roles according to team member’s experience and knowledge.
