This position is in the Office of Human Resources, at SCDMV Headquarters, Blythewood, SC
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Operations Specialist
• Provide assistance to the HR Team in utilizing HR technology to include SuccessFactors, Keymark/OnBase, the HR Dashboard and SharePoint. Work with the HR Operations Manager in testing functionality, providing support to HR team and agency employees and managers, and maintain employee data as needed.• Work with HR Manager to create, maintain and analyze SCEIS reports through BEX queries and Excel.
• Create custom ad-hoc reports and system queries as requested, validating results and ensuring accuracy.• Work with HR Manager to build standard reports for each department within the agency.
• Ensure accuracy and route to respective Director or Manager.• Complete the running of these reports in the absence of the HR Manager.• Maintains the Position Description signature process, creates tracking, and imports to digital employee file for all job movements in the agency.• Assists in the maintenance and input of position information into the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).
• Creates new positions and makes organizational changes/moves/corrections for agency positions under the direction or in absence of the HR Manager.• Maintain HR SharePoint site under the direction of the HR Manager, including the content, preparing rosters for Directorates to maintain up to date agency information on a biweekly basis or as needed.• Maintain SharePoint user access as needed.
• Review site for outdated information.
• Creates ID Badges and Key Fob for new hires, internal job movements, temporary usage, and contractors.
• Maintains record of badge issuance.
• Assists new hires with credentials in New Hire Orientation on a bi-weekly basis.
• Routes hiring paperwork internally and provides status updates as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
Agency Requirements
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing.
Additional Requirements
• Experience in Microsoft Office software with an advanced level of experience and knowledge of Excel.
• Knowledge of HRIS/SAP network systems and services.
• Ability to analyze data and present ideas effectively.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of the organization.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively meet all daily and monthly deadlines.
• Knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures and regulations.
• Under general supervision of the HR Operations Manager.
• Must be able to carry out duties assigned, work independently, exercise good judgement and discretion in all matters.
• Must be able to define projects, schedule and perform tasks as required to accomplish objectives.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment where processing volume and meeting deadlines are required.
• Must understand all employee information is kept strictly confidential.
Agency Preferred
• One year of human resources experience or one year of experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Experience in implementing programs a plus.
