OIG is organized into six operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Management and Administration. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country.

• Duty locations are limited to the following for this position: Bay Pines, Florida Dallas, Texas Frederick, Maryland Kansas City, Missouri Manchester, New Hampshire As a/an Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations), you will: Provides day-to-day assistance, interpretation, information and guidance on the full range of employee relations problems and issues which affect the function to include organizational goal performance, individual performance, performance appraisal systems, ER training programs, etc. Develops policies, regulations and procedures related to all forms of communication and counseling necessary to maintain effective relations between management and the workforce. This includes intra-management communication, communication with employees collectively and individually, and performance counseling. Provides day-to-day assistance, interpretation, information and guidance on the full range of employee relations problems and issues which affect the function to include organizational goal performance, individual performance, performance appraisal systems, ER training programs, etc. Must be thoroughly familiar with Federal and agency employee relations policies, procedures and precedent cases, and have the ability to adjust to the unique employee relations' environment.
