You will serve as a Administrative Officer with National Park Service. This position manages the complex and complicated administrative and business operations of the park. The Chief of Administration/Business Manager is the principal advisor and management consultant to the Superintendent and park management team for administrative matters and is often required to troubleshoot a wide range of unusual situations.
- Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: As a member of the park management team, plans, analyzes and monitors the formulation and development of complex and/or highly sensitive park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals. Responsible for keeping the park's revenues and spending inbalance through authoritative advice and supervision of the staff of the Administration/Business Office dedicated to budget and financial management on a day to day basis Responsible for development of procedures and for operations of internal controls established to eliminate waste and prevent fraud in the usage of Government properties and resources. Oversees the work of employees who provide support in the areas of payroll and timekeeping, bills of collection, payment of invoices, internal control an audit, and travel services.
