This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.   • The Float (Gap) Nurse Practitioner will provide acute, short or long-term coverage for an individual patient or a panel of patients in the primary care service and that presents to the community -based outpatient clinic for care. When the NP is not temporarily assigned to a panel of patients, he/she will provide immediate care/same day coverage, assist with performance improvement activities to improve quality metrics, conduct virtual care visits, or assist with other clinical duties as assigned. The NP performs independently or in collaboration with the provider to carry out the plan of care for the Veteran. He/she appropriately delegates to other Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) members, but is responsible for diagnosing and treating medical problems, care coordination to higher level of care, and making complex clinical decisions. The NP will serve as the leader of the PACT team let, that consists of an RN, LPN/Clinical Associate, and Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) and/or the same day services care team, that consists of an RN and Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Will be negotiated at time of offer.
