The Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Program Manager will have broad program manager responsibility for one of the programs in the Gulf Coast Behavioral Health Service. Programs include, but are not limited to PCMHI, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Specialty Mental Health, Homeless/HUD VASH, Residential treatment, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Substance Use Disorders. The service delivers specialized and complex professional care that significantly impact the healthcare of Veterans.
- The Program Manager/Registered Nurse serves as the clinical and administrative leader for a major specialty treatment program within the Behavioral Health Service Line of the Gulf Coast VA Healthcare System, which includes multiple clinics across three states. The position reports directly to the Associate Chief of Staff for Behavioral Health or designated leadership.Responsibilities include oversight of complex Behavioral Health Clinic operations, involving coordination and management of programming and professional staff across diverse clinical disciplines. The Behavioral Health Clinic provides customer-focused services addressing the emotional, psychological, psychiatric, social, vocational, interpersonal, and behavioral needs of Veterans. Key duties include: Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and clinical services. Managing and allocating administrative and programmatic resources to ensure efficient and effective operations. Providing clinical and administrative supervision to a large multidisciplinary team. Conducting performance evaluations for staff assigned to the program.
