About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center San Diego, California. The work is performed in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

  • Delivers comprehensive and highly specialized professional nursing care to critically ill and/or acutely ill neonates and infants.
  • Administers a wide variety of medications in accordance with hospital safety protocols.
  • Manages complex clinical workflows, execute advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and operate sophisticated life-support technologies.
  • Acts as a preceptor, mentor, and clinical role model for new staff, nurse transition program participants, and students.
  • Functions as charge/relief nurse, assuming operational responsibility for promoting quality, cost-effective nursing care.
