The position is located in the Office of the General Counsel, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Dept. of Justice. This position directs administrative operations for the OGC and advises senior leadership on budget, human resources, organizational management, and administrative services. It also coordinates resources and leads administrative staff. This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.
- The duties and responsibilities for a Administrative Officer, GS-0341-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Directs administrative programs and services supporting organizational operations and advises senior leadership on administrative policy, procedures, organizational structure, and resource utilization. Manages budget and financial resources by developing budget plans, monitoring expenditures, analyzing funding requirements, and recommending resource allocations to support mission priorities. Advises management on human resources administration, including staffing, performance management, awards, pay, leave, training, and workforce utilization. Coordinates administrative services with internal and external organizations to address operational requirements involving facilities, travel, security, property, supplies, payroll, and related support functions. Evaluates administrative programs, policies, and work processes to identify operational issues and recommend improvements that increase organizational effectiveness. Represents organizational administrative interests with senior officials and reviews correspondence, recommendations, and reports for policy implications and responsiveness to leadership objectives. Supervises administrative staff by assigning work, establishing priorities and performance standards, evaluating performance, and addressing employee development and workplace matters.
