If selected, you will be responsible for serving as a project manager and technical advisor on a wide variety of issues involving wildlife damage management (WDM) to the Regional Director's office and state programs within the Region. You will interact in a technical capacity with other APHIS Programs, other Federal agencies, State and Tribal entities, other major stakeholders and cooperators, and Wildlife Services units on issues involving the WS mission.
- The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
- The duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates the Nonlethal Initiative with the Regional Director which covers a national scope (Western Region and Great Lakes States) and requires long-range strategic planning, budgeting.
- Coordinates the wolf and other predator program funding for the Western Region.
- Provides technical assistance, analysis and support to supervisor and colleagues.
