  • Careers at Montana VA Health Care System The Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Provider (Nurse Practitioner) provides outpatient psychiatric services including face to face, telepsychiatry, and provides medical care in accordance with the approved privileges and all applicable State and/or Federal guidelines in support of the Psychiatry Service. Procedure privileges include: Psychopharmacology Evaluation, Prescription, and Medication Management Telepsychiatry Crisis intervention and referral to appropriate treatment setting Treatment of all psychiatric disorders listed in DSM-5 with the exception of infancy, childhood, and adolescence Administration of medications including IM injections in emergent, urgent situation, patient awaiting transfer to Sheridan or Decanoate injection for patient with psychotic disorder VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm Telework: The Veterans Health Administration, including the Montana VA Health Care System and surrounding VISN, will comply fully with the intention and instructions contained in the "Return to Office" Executive Order.
