This position is located at the Jicarilla Service Unit Laboratory Department, in Dulce, New Mexico. The Jicarilla Service Unit (JSU) is an outpatient facility with an Urgent Care open Monday through Friday. The service unit offers primary care, woman's health, dentistry, optometry, physical therapy, and other medical specialty services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
- Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Use appropriate functions of the laboratory package, including ordering patient tests and accessioning tests ordered by the provider. Instructs patient, nursing, medical staff, students, and volunteers on proper collection, transport, and preservation of specimens. Evaluation of specimen integrity and specimen evaluation for analysis. Analyzes quality control specimens, records and determines results. Interprets and evaluates results of tests/examinations in process and upon completion in order to recognize anticipated reactions and departures from the norm. Directs, plans, develops, administers, and evaluates clinical laboratory services in accordance with facility goals and regulatory compliance. REQUIREMENTS Confidential Financial Disclosure Form required. The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
