Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and improving the overall program of clinical activities and therapies for Child and Adolescent Services. Serves as key assistant to the Hospital Director and substitutes for him/her in his/her absence when designated

All staff with start dates on/after 08/17/2026 will train at the Southeast Michigan Psychiatric Hospital (SMPH) in Northville but, upon completion of training may work at the Walter Reuther Psychiatric Hospital (WRPH) until their position/classification officially moves from WRPH to SMPH at a date yet to be determined.
EducationPossession of a medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Psychiatrist in a mental health facility or clinic, including two years equivalent to a Psychiatrist Manager 19, or one year equivalent to a Psychiatrist Director 20.View the job description at: Senior Executive Psychiatrist Director 21

Michigan licensure to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine and surgery in good standing.
All positions require board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Inc.
Positions in children's psychiatric hospitals require board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Unrestricted Michigan Board of Pharmacy license to prescribe level two through five controlled substances.
Unrestricted U.S.D.E.A registration to prescribe schedule two through five controlled substances.
