You will serve as a Supervisory Park Ranger (Protection) - District Ranger, District Ranger for the Olympic National Park performing visitor and resource protection and public use management duties. Two positions are being advertised - one position in Port Angeles, WA and one position in Amanda Park, WA.
- Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provides professional leadership and coordination for the development and implementation of the District Programs for visitor use management, law enforcement, and resources and visitor protection. Serves as first line supervisor of subordinate law enforcement staff. Responsible for detection, investigation, apprehension, and prosecution under applicable laws, rules, and regulations enacted to insure the protection and safe use of National Park resources. Provides field training, emergency medical services, structural firefighting, special response, technical rescue, swift water rescue, and helicopter rescue.
