This position supports participants receiving home and community-based services by reviewing incidents, service plans, and related documentation. As a Medical Records Examiner, you will perform the following duties:
- Incident Review: Assess reportable incidents and examine service plans for accuracy and appropriate service delivery
- Coordination Work: Collaborate with service coordinators, providers, and agencies to address critical incidents and uphold participant welfare
- Medical Evaluation: Analyze medical documentation to determine service suitability and identify needed referrals
- Service Trends: Review incident reports to identify patterns that influence participant service needs
- Program Support: Assist with monitoring existing programs and developing new home and community-based service initiatives

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position requires travel, including overnight stays.
- Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- You must possess an active motor vehicle license.
