This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), IBC Human Resources Directorate. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to HR Specialist(s) and advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding recruitment and placement.
- Provides support to HR Specialist and assistance to supervisors and employees on a wide variety of human resources services including, staffing and recruitment and personnel action processing. Participates in the development and issuance of vacancy announcements into an automated staffing system in accordance with federal regulations, agency policies and internal office procedures. Determines applicant qualifications and appointment eligibility and issues selection certificates in accordance with the appropriate regulations, policies and procedures. Interprets and applies a variety of regulatory and policy guidance in order to process the full range of personnel actions in an automated personnel/payroll system. Conducts in-processing of new employees via an automated on-boarding system to include issuing appointment/information documents and obtaining appointment documents. Ensures appointment documents are completed correctly and processes the documents in the automated personnel/payroll system.
