Statistical and Research Analyst II - TEMPORARY GRANT / PART-TIME (Charleston)

This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC), 2100 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, SC 29414.

Under supervision of the Team Leader for the NAVIGATE program, will conduct data and research for patients in the NAVIGATE First Episode Psychosis program through following the guidelines of the ESPRITO grant that will last until 5/30/30. Will conduct data with efforts to assist with improving treatment outcomes, improving engagement for the patients and medication compliance.

Responsibilities for the Statistical and Research Analyst II

• Ensure work is in compliance with the currently approved protocols, with Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP), and with applicable regulatory requirement(s).
• Organize and conduct assigned studies, independently, following and adhering to current experimental protocols. Develop forms and questionnaires and coordinates the application of research techniques, as necessary.  Complete data by the grant deadlines.
• Interact well with the patients and their families. Make efforts to engage the patients in order to collect the data.
• Evaluate and interpret collected data, and prepare presentations, report and analyze describing progress, tends, and recommendations or conclusions.
• Function as a Team Member: Demonstrate recognition of importance of collaboration and teamwork within the NAVIGATE team, the Center and the community.  Attend and participates in team meetings.
• Attend all trainings classified mandatory by Federal and State regulations, Center policy and ESPRITO trainings.
• Comply with all BHDD-OMH/CDMHC policies and protocols, applicable Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance and Cultural Competence, and CARF policies, procedures and regulations and all Federal and State laws.

• A bachelor's degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses and experience of working with individuals with mental illness.  Required to work a 16-hour work week.

• Research and analytical experience.

Post hire, you must:

• Have working knowledge of mental health principles and practices, with following HIPAA guidelines and PHI.
• Maintain current knowledge of research study area including attending scientific/professional meetings and training courses as appropriate.
• Work effectively as part of a team with good interpersonal skills.
• Be able to take initiative and work interdependently, meet deadlines with a sense of urgency, multitask, adjust to shifting priorities, communicate effectively, and work under defined rules and regulations.
