Incumbent will perform patient care, technical and clerical services in the outpatient setting. Incumbent must be able to document and retrieve patient and work related data electronically via several standardized computer programs, as well as, written hard copies. Report to the Outpatient Nurse Supervisor. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
- Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Assist medical provider in clinic, obtaining vital signs and other body measurements, including chief complaint and brief patient history. Perform simple diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as preoperative preparation of the skin, 12- lead EKG, collecting specimens, applying bandages and dressings as directed. Perform routine waived laboratory tests in the clinic. May collect serum via venipuncture or assist patient to collect urine. Work is performed on a regularly assigned or rotational basis to provide continuity of patient care, possible during evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
