  • This position is also being announced to applicants under Merit Staffing procedures under 26-NYE-13052550-MP This Legal Administrative Specialist provides a wide range of technical, analytical, and legal support services to the Long Island Civil Division of the Eastern District of New York. If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Legal Administrative Specialist support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York, located in Central Islip, New York, Typical work assignments will include: Conducting in-depth analysis of a variety of specialized legal topics and points of law. Drafting and/or preparing letters, legal documents, forms and reports as requested. Managing and maintaining discovery and other documentation in electronic and hard copy formats that pertain to cases. Providing advanced support for complex civil cases involving large volumes of electronic case materials, including processing, organizing, reviewing, producing, and presenting electronic discovery. Advising attorneys, legal support staff, and members of our client agencies on electronic discovery strategies, litigation support tools, technical requirements, production specifications, and best practices for managing complex or non-standard electronic evidence. Providing assistance for case preparation and presentation.
