You will serve as a FUL-Recreation Fee Technician for the Acadia National Park. This is a Career-Seasonal appointment-a permanent position with full federal benefits. The work season is approximately 91⁄2 months (20 of 26 pay periods). The employee is typically placed in non-pay status from January 10 through April 3.

  • As a Recreation Fee Technician, you will perform the following duties: Conducts analysis to validate fee transactions and determine the adequacy of existing fee systems and technologies. Evaluates the functionality of new fee related systems or modifications to existing systems. Tests reservation system functionality in automated reservation systems. Provides informal and formal training and education regarding highly technical automated and non-automated fee processes, systems, software programs, tools, etc. Prepares or updates operating manuals and/or standard operating procedures. Troubleshoots technically challenging issues with fee program related technologies and equipment. Assists with auditing fee collection program components/systems (e.g., cash registers, road/trail registers, honor systems, AFMs, donation boxes, etc.). Processes reservation arrivals and departures for reservations. Collects appropriate fees at a park entrance station, visitor center, campground, and fee cannister.
