This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. The Primary Care Mental Health Integration team supports a busy Primary Care Service to assist with referrals for Veterans needing mental health care. The Veterans enrolled in the area are vary in age from the recently discharged to the elderly and have complicated medical and psychiatric needs. The PCMHI Psychiatrist is an essential member of the PCMHI team, which works closely and collaboratively for consultation and referral. The PCMHI Psychiatrist provides same day access to PACT veterans wishing to establish mental health care or reconnect with care, as well as completion of functional assessments for Veterans in need of psychiatric medications. The PCMHI Psychiatrist provides brief follow up and medication management and then refers back to the PACT provider or on to BHIP psychiatry as indicated by policy. The PCMHI Psychiatrist works collaboratively with PACT providers and provides education and consultation as needed. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards.
