This position is located within the Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations, Space, Intelligence, Engineering Oversight Directorate, Research and Engineering Division. This position is for a Supervisory General Engineer, Project Manager responsible for supervising, leading, and performing broad and complex oversight (engineering assessments, evaluations, and inspections) of programs, policies, procedures, and functions for one of the teams within the Research & Engineering Division.
- Directs, supervises, and develops subordinates to apply compliance, DoW acquisition, critical thinking, and best-practice engineering standards to assess complex DoW weapons systems, safety systems, and infrastructure.
- Provides technical guidance to direct subordinates in applying engineering concepts and principles to assess complex DoW weapons systems and facilities for the purposes of oversight reporting and recommendations.
- Utilizes engineering expertise to lead and direct a team of engineers, auditors, and program analysts in evaluations, audits, and investigations for the purposes of oversight report writing, findings and recommendations, and policy review.
- Leads, reviews, and contributes to the research, planning, execution, and documentation of activities supporting the evaluation or assessment of complex DoW weapon systems, safety systems, and infrastructure.
- Formulates long-range plans for annual evaluations, staffing, budgets, and team development. Prepares oversight reports using engineering expertise and established inspection standards. Communicates plans and findings to advance the mission.
